CASA of Southeast Texas is in critical need for more dedicated members of the community to dedicate their time in becoming a CASA volunteer advocate and help break the cycle of abuse and neglect by supporting children and families.
CASA of Southeast Texas is offering flexible pre-service training in an online interactive environment.
Those interested can complete the required training sessions from the comfort of home. Enrollment is open.
CASA of Southeast Texas has a goal of providing a volunteer for every foster child in Jefferson County to represent the child’s best interest in cases of abuse and neglect.
Without CASA volunteers, the children have no voice. As a Court Appointed Special Advocate, you can keep abused and neglected children safe while they reach a safe, permanent home.
Each volunteers is a voice making a difference at a critical point in a child’s life. CASA advocates get to know the child and everyone involved in the child’s life to advocate for the child’s best interests while they are in the foster care system.
Requirements to become a CASA advocate are to commit to at least one year of advocacy, pass criminal and CPS background checks and be at least 21 years old.
