A 22-year-old man is under arrest for Friday night’s shooting at Lakeview Palms Apartments.

Robert Isaiah Paredes was arrested Monday afternoon, Port Arthur Police Det. Mike Hebert said.

Police believe the suspect went to the apartments in an attempt to locate a female, who is an acquaintance, and began shooting.

The suspect recklessly shot several other subjects who were in the parking lot, police said.

The female as well as a second female and a male received what are believed to be non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

The shooting occurred in a common area/parking lot of the apartments, which are located 5200 Gulfway Drive.

Police received multiple 9-1-1 calls in reference to the shooting.

Hebert said there would be no additional arrests.

PAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division is leading the investigation.
