Edmund John Mouton

 

   Edmund John Mouton, 84, of Port Arthur passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Christus St. Mary Hospital. He was born September 5, 1926 to Lucille Comeaux Mouton and Robert Mouton in Port Arthur, Texas. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Edmund retired from Texaco as a crane operator after 38 years of service. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a former member of St. Therese, Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Arthur.

   Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral Service will be at 9:00 A.M. Thursday, October 21, 2010 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Rejimon George, officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad McNiel, Troy McNiel, Robert Mouton, Jr., Christopher Leonard, Brent Trotter, Aaron  Trotter, Garrett McNiel and Logan McNiel

   He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lula Mae Dupree.

   He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lela Mae Reaux Mouton of Port Arthur, his daughters, Deborah Leonard and husband Ronald of Bridge City, Cindy Linder and husband David of Beaumont and Kim Trotter and husband Gary of Pigram, Tn., his son, Todd Mouton and wife Janice of Groves; along with ten grandchildren, Chad McNiel, Troy McNiel, Melissa Evans, Christopher Leonard, Kristie Raffaniello, Kandi Creamer, Gary Brent Trotter, Aaron Trotter, Chelsey Mouton and Ashley Mouton as well as 8 great grandchildren.

He is also survived his sister, Gertie Miller of Port Arthur and his brother, Robert Mouton, Jr. and wife Barbara of Port Arthur, Texas as well as several nieces and nephews.
