Pecan Fest barbecue cook-off, car show sign-up underway

GROVES — Groves Pecan Festival has moved to Nov. 5 through Nov. 8 but there are a number of events to be held prior to that date.

Smoking-N-Groves Bar-B-Q Cook-Off is scheduled for Oct. 16 through Oct. 17 in Lyons Park in Groves. Organizers are currently looking for teams. For more information call Curtis Humphrey at 718-8976 or John Terrell at 828-0591.

The Pecan Festival Class Car Show is scheduled for Oct. 31 at Lyons Park in Groves. For more information contact call Curtis Humphrey at 718-8976.

Both events are benefitting the Groves Senior Citizen Center.
