Suspects sought in PA home burglary

Two people are in custody and police are searching for two more suspects in a Port Arthur home burglary on Tuesday.

At about 11:40 a.m. police responded to a call of an alarm at a home in the 3900 block of Lakeshore Drive, Port Arthur Police Sgt. Kris Boneau said.

The homeowner arrived about the same time as four males were seen fleeing the property. Police arrived shortly after.

“Two suspects were located approximately six blocks away from the residence and placed into custody,” Boneau said. “Property from the residence was recovered and we are still attempting to locate two more suspects involved.”

Boneau said officers arrived quickly and found the suspects on Sixth Street.

The two suspects arrested include a juvenile and an adult. They were transported to the Port Arthur Police Station where they were interviewed. The younger suspect was sent to the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Justice Center while the adult was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility — both on charges of burglary.

The two remaining suspects are described as males in their mid-20’s wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call PAPD at 983-8600.
