Lamar football season tickets on sale June 1

BEAUMONT — Lamar University fans will have an opportunity to be a part of the excitement of college football when season tickets go on sale Monday, June 1, for the coming 2015 campaign. The Lamar ticket office will host its annual “Choose Your Seat Day” Friday, June 5, when they will extend the hours of operation until 7 p.m. allowing fans to come by Provost Umphrey Stadium and choose an available seat for the season.

“The ‘Choose Your Seat Day’ is a great opportunity, in a fun setting, for fans to stop by and select the seats they want,” said LU Director of Athletics Jason Henderson. “Lamar provides a special family-oriented environment on Saturdays, and we want our fans to be a part of the excitement.”

Season tickets range from $38 for general admission all the way up to $312 for chair back seats. By purchasing season tickets, fans will receive a 30-percent discount compared to buying single-game tickets.

The Cardinals will look to carry the momentum from a record-setting 2014 season into the upcoming year. Lamar returns 20 starters, including all-time receptions leader Reggie Begelton, from last year’s team that tied a school record for wins. Lamar kicks off the 2015 schedule Saturday, Sept.5 against Bacone College. The game against Bacone is one of just five home games for Big Red this year.

The Southland Conference home opener will be Saturday, Oct. 10 against Abilene Christian. Homecoming will be Saturday, Nov. 7, against Nicholls.

The Lamar Ticket Office is open every Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and can be reached by phone at (409) 880-1715, or by logging onto LamarCardinals.com.
