Lamar/Baylor tickets still up for grabs

BEAUMONT – Tickets for Lamar University’s football game at Baylor are available through the LU Ticket Office but time is running out. The deadline to purchase tickets for the showdown in Waco is at noon Thursday, Aug. 20.
Tickets are $45, and are available for pickup at the LU Ticket Office located on the west side of the Montagne Center.
Fans can order tickets for the game by calling (409)880-1715 or by logging onto the athletics website at www. LamarCardinals.com. Walk-ups are also accepted between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The LU Ticket Office is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged tickets.
The game at Baylor will be the Cardinals first trip inside McLane Stadium and just the fourth meeting ever between the two schools. The last time LU squared off against Baylor, Big Red recorded a stunning 18-17 upset of the Bears (1981).
Both teams enter the 2015 season coming off two of the best seasons in school history. The Cardinals tied a school record for wins last year, while Baylor advanced to the Cotton Bowl with a No. 5 national ranking.
