Royce Paul Prince, 84, of Groves passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Cypress Glen East Nursing and Rehabilitation.

   He was born on October 6, 1926 in Port Arthur, Texas to Theo J. Prince and Olympe Benoit Prince.

   Royce had lived in this area for 55 years and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was retired from Brazosport Plumbing and Heating as a master plumber.

   Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Reverend T. R. Blanco of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church will be officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a vigil service to begin at 6:00 p.m.

   Royce was preceded in death by his daughter, Maggie Lou Tucker and his brother, Ralph Prince.

   He is survived by his wife, Billy Prince of Groves, daughter, Susan Degaugh and husband, Chester of Angleton, TX., son, Craig Prince and wife, Alice of Lake Jackson, TX.; two step-daughters, Tina Arnold and husband, Dennis of Beaumont and Bonnie Fulbright of Groves; brother, Richard Prince and wife, Deanna of Groves; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Jennifer, Joshua, Katy, Cody, Chad, and Amy; and two step-grandchildren, Alexis and Christopher.
