Former director of Triangle AIDS Network charged with theft

BEAUMONT – The former executive director of the Triangle Area Network is out of the Jefferson County Jail on a $40,000 bond, charged with first degree felony theft.
According to Channel 12 News, in a probable cause affidavit, the director, Peggy Lynn Gibson, 63, of Lumberton, is accused of stealing $363,000 in checks, more than $20,000 in property and issuing $19,000 in payments to her daughter even though she was not an employee of TAN.
Formerly known as the Triangle AIDS Network before the organizations name was changed to be more inclusive of expanded services, the tax-exempt, non-profit service group was first created in 1987.
The agency’s interim director is Kathleen Feldschau.
