Jorge B. Puzon, 82, of Port Neches, went to be with our Lord on July 7, 2015 surrounded by family and filled with overflowing love and affection. He was born on February 21, 1933, in Manila, Philippines to Caridad Buenafe and Doroteo Fruzen Puzon.
He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great – grandfather who dedicated his life providing for and raising his family. A true disciplinarian, he raised his children as devout Catholics and made sure each of them had opportunities for success. Although he himself was not able to complete his collegiate studies, he made sure all his children were able to graduate. He enjoyed music – singing and dancing, movie classics, politics, and taking chances at the casino. He was a grandpa who spoiled his grandchildren with constant attention, generous gifts, and unquestioning love.
A part of our hearts will always hold his presence, and the memories we keep will be filled with laughter and happiness. We are so grateful to have been blessed with a patriarch who set the precedence for our family and will never forget the part he has played in all of our lives. You will be in our hearts forever and we will salute you always.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-one years, Nita Fortuno Puzon of Port Neches; sons, Julito Puzon and his wife, Esther, of Manila, Philippines; Oliver Puzon and Peter Puzon and his wife, Joy, all of Houston; daughters, Claire Cabangan and her husband, Ernie, of Port Arthur; Lin Rupley of The Woodlands; Cristy Tuazon and her husband, Rey, of Port Lavaca; Cecile Cosca and his wife, Fermin, of Port Neches; and Antonette Woodward and her husband, Mark, of Cypress; grandchildren; Eileen, Edward, Faith, Eve, Jackie, Samantha, Renee, Christian, Gerard, Clarissa, Don, Deanne and her husband, Blaine; great – granddaughter, Reese; and four sisters.
