John Denver (J. D.) Whitley, born to Charlie and Pearl Whitley in Washington, Texas, on March 8, 1941, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at his home in Austin, Texas.
J.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl, Juanita and Charlie Whitley.  Remembering him always are his wife, Alice; children, Bonnie, Brett, Yolanda, Tammy, and Nija;  and, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services for J. D. will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 10 a.m., with viewing starting at 9 a.m. at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 5900 Cameron Rd Austin,TX 78752.
