Kathryn “Babe” Girolamo Leocadi, 91, of Groves, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at her home.
She was born on December 6, 1923 to Jennie Ienna Girolamo and Nicholas Girolamo in Port Arthur, Texas. Babe lived in the Port Arthur/Groves area for most of her life. She worked at Gulf Oil Refinery in the main office for several years. Babe and her husband, Victor owned and operated Victor’s Liquor and Victor’s Food and Deli for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank “Victor” Leocadi, Sr.
She is survived by her sister, Marie Girolamo of Groves, Texas, her brother, Joel Girolamo of Groves, Texas, niece, Arlene Wills and husband, Tommy of Nederland, Texas, nephew, Sam Girolamo and his wife, Debbie of Groves, Texas, two great nieces, Serena Hedrick and husband, James, Jennie Wills and boyfriend, Dylan Tompkins, great nephew, Thomas Wills and fiancé, Nicole Guidry, great-great nephew, Samuel Hedrick.
She is also survived by two step daughters, Lucille Wilbur and Ann Leocadi and one step son, Frank Victor Leocadi, Jr.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from Noon till the service time at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel with Rev. J. C. Coon, officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson.
