Menola Boutte Sain, 97, of Nederland, died Sunday, November 29, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of the area, she was born on June 18, 1918, in Port Arthur, to Marie Rodriguez and Wallace Boutte.
Menola loved her plants and flowers and was a member of the Day Lilly Club. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include her son, John Sain and his wife, Charlotte, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Brian Sain, Tracy Woods, Robin Woods, Carol Anne Tullar, Terry Woods, Michael Sain, Scott Woods, and Jessica Von Quintus; twenty great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis K. Sain, Sr.; son, Louis K. Sain, Jr.; daughter, Judy Ann Sain Hitts; two brothers; and one sister.
A gathering of Mrs. Sain’s family and friends will be 12:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 1:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Sain’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
