Billy S. Adcock, 64, of Lumberton, died Sunday, November 29, 2015. He was born on January 2, 1951, in Orange, to Anna Lucille Socia and Willie Oliver Adcock.
Billy retired from Chevron after thirty-eight years of service as a head operator of the Benzine Unit. He will be remembered as a genuine, selfless man with a warm heart and larger than life personality, as well as being a loving husband, father, and friend.
Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Karen Adcock of Lumberton; daughters, Koby Adcock of Lumberton and Kourtney Adcock of Houston; mother, Lucille Irvin and her husband, Donald, of Burkeville; brother, Randy Adcock and his wife, Madeline, of Vidor; sisters, Tommie Bodin and her husband, Jerry, of Hemphill; Jeannie Brown of Mauriceville; Gracie Warren of Homewood, Mississippi; and Sherry Merrel and her husband, David, of Nederland; brother-in-law, Joe Romero and his wife, Phyllis, of Hemphill; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Adcock.
A gathering of Mr. Adcock’s family and friends will be from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015, at Broussard’s, Nederland. Per Mr. Adcock’s wishes, his cremation will follow at Broussard’s, Crematorium, Beaumont.
