Rita Richter Landry, 83, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas passed away on December 7, 2015 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born on November 30, 1932 to Myrtis Judice Richter and Adolph Richter in Port Arthur, Texas. She worked as the credit manager of Texaco Credit Union. Rita was a former resident of Port Arthur before moving to Bull Shoals, Arkansas in 1988.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Butch Richter and her grandson, Shaun Ray Landry.
Rita is survived by her husband of 50 years, Grandville “Buddy” Landry of Bull Shoals, AR., her daughter, Connier Sue Long Hermsen and husband, Jeff of Nederland, Texas, her three sons, Randy Landry and wife, DeeDee of Crystal Beach, Texas, Keith Landry and wife, Brenda of Nederland, Texas, Brent Landry and wife, Brenda of Port Arthur,Texas, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Visitation will resume at 9:00 AM till service time on Monday, December 14, 2015. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Monday in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or a charity of choice.
