Kevin “Stroker” Keith Willis

Kevin “Stroker” Keith Willis, 56, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Kevin was born in Port Arthur, TX on July 7, 1959 to Lauretta Willis and the late Jules Earl Willis, Jr. A lifelong resident of Port Arthur, TX, he was a proud member of Abraham Lincoln High School Class of 1978. He also served in the United States Army for four years.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed performing standup comedy, making others laugh, racing cars, and releasing his inner Jimi Hendrix by playing the electric guitar. He was employed by Veolia in Port Arthur, TX.
He is preceded in death by his father Jules E. Willis, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Lauretta Willis; three brothers, Charles Dancer Sr. (Marcia), Ronald Willis Sr. (Ida), Dwight Willis (Rosalin); one sister Dwaina DeRouen; three daughters Melanie Lavine, Kimberly Willis, Taynesha Willis; one special daughter LaShea Viltz; two sons Terrel Willis and Tavon Colbert – Willis; two grandchildren Amir Tippins and Amoni Tippins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Eastern Star Baptist Church with a viewing from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
