Seahawks explode against Timberwolves

The Lamar State College-Port Arthur again stepped away from Region XIV play Wednesday and this time went on a scoring tear against Lone Star College-Tomball.
LSC-PA defeated Tomball for the second time this year and did so scoring the most points the Seahawks have scored this season. The Seahawks won 109-74.
Seven Seahawks scored in double digits with Colton Weisbrod leading the way with 24 points. He also led the team with 15 rebounds.
Jordon Harris had 18 points while Christian Albright had 13, Chase Rutledge added 12 points and Freddie Williams Jr. finished with 11. Marko Zelic and Damasters Sam each had 10 points and Diondre’ Frank finished with nine points.
Harris added 10 assists for a double-double.
The Seahawks (11-7, 3-4) were 41-of-75 shooting for 55-percent. They outrebounded the Timberwolves 53-28.
Zelic grabbed nine rebounds and was 4-of-7 shooting.
LSC-PA shot 27 free throws and sank 18 shots from the charity stripe.
The Seahawks return to conference play at 4 p.m. Saturday at Coastal Bend College in Beeville.
