Darnel Jones, Sr. of Orange Texas passed away on January 23, 2016 at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont Texas.
Darnel was born in Port Arthur, Texas on November 9, 1951 to the late Willie Sr. and Ruby Jones.  He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970 and attended Lamar University for several years.  He worked as a Lab Analyst for 28 years for a local petrochemical company.
Darnel is survived by his wife, Mary, son Darnel Jones, Jr. and daughter Meagan L. Jones; grandson, Darriun V. Jones; brother Willie Jones, Jr; niece Tiffany Thomas and nephew Willie Jones, III; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 am. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
