Mary (Me-Me) Elmore Williams, age 69 was born August 16, 1946 to the late Harry Lyons, Sr. and Thelma (Alexander) Lyons in Port Arthur, TX. There she grew up and was educated in the Port Arthur public schools where she was a 1964 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and later graduated from Lamar University in 1984 with an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and two sibling Pinkie Lyons and Jimmie Lyons. She leaves to cherish her memory four children Yolanda Favors of Dallas, TX., Vanessa Richard (John), Herman Elmore Jr., and Alfred Williams Jr. (MarJuana) and three siblings Bobby Lyons (Eva) of Memphis, Tennessee, Harry Lyons, Jr. (Carol) of Houston, TX., and Charlie Lyons (Aguila) of Beaumont, TX. She loved and adored her grandchildren Chelsie and Cobey Richard, Cyler, Alfred, Kaydence, and Kayleb Williams, Aubree Elmore, and Meaghan Favors. Mary was the godmother to two godsons, Robert Armstrong and Rodrick Davis. She leaves to cherish her lasting memories a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Her laughter and straight talk will be greatly missed.
Homegoing service will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at First Sixth Street Baptist Church, 548 Lincoln Avenue, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
