Billie Ray “Pop” Miller, Sr., 70, of Port Arthur, died Friday, February 26, 2016. A native and lifelong resident of the area, he was born on February 8, 1946, in Port Arthur, to Helen Davis Miller and Thomas Burnett Miller, Sr.

Billie enjoyed collecting and rebuilding classic hot rods. He loved coaching baseball and doing yardwork. Billie retired from Tesoro Petroleum as a truck driver.

Survivors include his son, Billie Ray Miller, Jr. and his wife, Tamara and Brandon Miller and his wife, Tori, all of Port Acres; Brad Miller and his wife, Crystal and Brent Miller and his wife, Brandy, all of Kountze; daughters, Roseann Lewis and her husband, David, of Port Neches and Jennifer Miller of Kountze; numerous grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn Miller of Houston; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of thirty-two years, Julie Miller; son, Brian Miller; grandson, Brad Allen Miller, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.

A gathering of Mr. Miller’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 29, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
