Bridge City pitcher/outfielder Tod McDowell will also sign with Lamar. McDowell has a 6-1 record and a 1.64 ERA this year for the Cardinals. He has struck out 51 batters in 38 1/3 innings.

Lamar also picked up another local commit in West Orange-Stark shortstop Payton Robertson.

The three recent commits join Port Neches-Groves outfielder Cole Girouard in pledging to the Cardinals.
