Dawie van der Walt regained his stroke after a disastrous second round that caused him to free-fall from fourth place, and the Lamar graduate was rewarded by returning to the top 10 in the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Van der Walt, a South African, shot 69 Saturday to join a seven-man tie for 10th place. All are six strokes behind leader Rickie Fowler.

Van der Walt started the tournament with a 67 Thursday and dove to a 77 Friday. He stands at 213, or 3 under par.
