Heat advisory in effect for Wednesday

A heat advisory is in effect for Wednesday for portions of Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.
The combination of high temperatures in the mid 90s and high humidity levels will result in afternoon heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service-Lake Charles.
Prolonged exposure to heat of this magnitude could result in the development of heat related stress and illness.
Take extra precautions if you work or spent time outside:
When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to earn morning or evening.
Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
Wear light weight ad loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.
