Gloria Washington Clark Dyer

Mrs. Gloria Washington Clark Dyer of Port Arthur, Texas died Monday, November 7, 2016 at MD Anderson Cancer Center.  A native and life-long resident of Port Arthur she was a long-time member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

A visitation is scheduled from 9:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with funeral services to begin at 10:00am, the Rev. Mark Thomas Ameh officiating.  The burial will follow the funeral service at Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

Survivors include: her husband of 40 years Cleveland B. Dyer, Sr.; children Clayton S. Clark, II (Ellen), Griffin Dyer(Mary) of Port Arthur, Clarita Fillyaw of Beaumont, Frederica Breaux, Marcia Clark(Preston), and Norman “Eddie” Clark all of Houston;  sisters Gladys Charles and Mary Ann Washington both of Port Arthur,  special niece Carolyn Landry of Port Arthur; special  nephew Carlyle Clarke of Mount Laurel, NJ 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Dyer was preceded in death by her parents Cornelius and Mary Washington, brother Cornelius Washington, Jr., sister JoAnn Gray, first husband Clayton S. Clark, Sr., daughter Patria Temple, son Cleveland B. Dyer, Jr., sons-in-law Zachary C. Breaux and Jenkin Clyde Fillyaw.
