• About the game: Lamar begins a four-game home stand today and is 2-0 this season at the Montagne. Lamar also has won two straight overall, having beaten Northern Arizona and Canisius, but has not played in eight days. After today, the Cardinals won’t play for another 13 days due to final exams. … The Cards are showing their defensive prowess, ranking 19th nationally in steals per game (12.5) and 20th in forcing turnovers (22.5). Chastadie Barrs (3.67 steals per game, 12th in nation) and Kiandra Bowers (3.17, 30th) continue to lead the charge. … Moe Kinard continues to lead the Cards at 15.3 points per game. … The Southwestern Pirates are based in Georgetown, just north of Austin, and compete in NCAA Division III.
