Horace Hopkins III

Horace Hopkins III, 47 departed this life on January 1, 2017 surrounded by family whom loved him dearly. He was a 1988 graduate of Lincoln High School.

He is survived by his three sons Alonzo and Ja’vonta Hopkins and Salomon Badgett-Hopkins; his mother Brenda Davis (Clarence); his father Horace Hopkins, Jr.; two brothers Troy (Yolanda) and Hayshun Hopkins; three sisters Krystal Everfield (Larry Jr.), Vern Trotman (Jamaine Sr.) and Nicole Trotman; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Rock Island Baptist Church with visitation from 1:30 until service time. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
