Home invasion leaves man assaulted, without vehicle

A Port Arthur man was assaulted and robbed by several suspects and his vehicle stolen Wednesday morning after men broke into his home.
One suspect in the home invasion remains at large.
Police responded to the aggravated robbery around 8:45 a.m. at a home in the 3900 block of 28th Street. Officers learned that several suspects entered the man’s home and assaulted him then took property from the residence and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. Officers later located the vehicle in the 3800 block of 31st St., according to a press release from the city of Port Arthur.
The driver of the vehicle eluded officers and crashed shortly after the home invasion. The driver fled on foot.
Three adults were located with the vehicle. The driver, described as an Hispanic male, approximately 5-foot 4-inches to 5-foot 7-inches tall, slim to medium build, wearing a black hoodie, armed with a semi-automatic handgun, is still at large.
Friday, a city spokesperson said the suspects located in the stolen vehicle were arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Correction Facility for other unrelated offenses.
The victim declined to speak with the media.
