Maurice D. Toups, 90, passed away on Friday, October 06, 2017 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Maurice was born on November 20, 1926 in Henry, LA to the late Taylor Toups and Elda Bourque Toups. He served our country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a retired supervisor from Atlantic Richfield Refinery.
Maurice was survived by his daughters, Linda Davis and husband, Howard of Lumberton, Beth West and husband, Jimmy of Nederland; son, Don Toups and wife, Kim of Montgomery, TX; step-daughter, Barbara Couron and husband, Kevin of Port Neches; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first loving wife of 31 years, Ora Mae Gaspard Toups; his second loving wife of 40 years, Jeanette Hossley Toups.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Jason Martin and Bro. Rob Jones officiating. The entombment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
