On Thursday, Groves Police responded to a call of possible possession of child pornography. Upon investigation, police discovered a video of a sexual assault of a child that apparently occurred in 2015.

Investigators reviewed the footage and were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Shane Gotte for the offense of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Investigators located Gotte at his place of employment with the Federal Correctional Center in Beaumont. They took him into custody without incident.

The investigation is currently ongoing and there are no other suspects relating to the case at this time.
