Hilton John DeRouen, Sr.

Mr. Hilton John DeRouen, Sr., a native of New Iberia, Louisiana, departed this life at his Port Arthur home on Sunday, November 12, 2017.  He was a resident of Port Arthur for 40 years, where he retired from Great Lakes Carbon with over thirty years of service.  A member of the First Sixth Street Baptist Church, he served as an invaluable member of the Trustee Board.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at First Sixth Street Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Kalan Gardner.  Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

Mr. Hilton John DeRouen, Sr. is survived by his wife Dora Turner DeRouen; sister, Margie Provost of Port Arthur; children, Mary Lee (Pernell Sr.) Towles-DeRouen of Abbeville, LA, Henry (Barbara) Lavine of New Orleans, LA, Cheryl (Bones) Rodriguez of Richmond, VA, John (Melanie) DeRouen of Carson, CA, Isaac (Toni) Riser of Port Arthur, Jamie (Katasha) DeRouen of League City, Hilton DeRouen, Jr. of Dallas, Hayward (Applonia) DeRouen of Atlanta, GA; 25 grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
