BULLDOGS 9-1 AFTER TOPPING MUSTANGS

WEST ORANGE — Coming off its Nederland Bulldog Classic championship, Nederland showed no letdown on the road Tuesday.
Behind Hayden Hefner’s 22 points and Shafin Momin’s 15, the Bulldogs scored a 68-52 win over West Orange-Stark in non-district play. Nederland improved to 9-1 with the win.
Next for Nederland is the Hardin-Jefferson Basketball Marathon. The Bulldogs begin today with a noon game against Shepherd and 6 p.m. contest against Laredo Nixon.
