Lizbeth “Libby” Branick

Lizbeth “Libby” Branick, born July 14, 1950 was welcomed to heaven by her Savior when she passed from a blood clot in the lung on Saturday morning February 24, 2018.

She joyously accepted Christ as her Savior in her 20’s and gracefully served him as a member of Central Baptist Church in Port Arthur. Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher and nursery worker, she was a “meeter of needs” whenever called upon. She attended Bible Study Fellowship for many years and was a former children’s leader in the Beaumont class. Libby had been employed as a legal secretary at Provost Umphrey Law Firm for 34 years.

She is survived by her Mom, Virgie Branick; Dad, Bruce Branick; sister, Laura Branick; sister, LeeDell Poole and her husband, Bob; Brothers, Jesse Branick and his wife, JoLynn, Jeff Branick and his wife, Sherrie; Aunt, Donnie Beckcom; Aunt and Uncle, Edel and Clyde Caughlin; Nieces, Jeslyn and Jena Branick, Merritt Branick James and her husband, Taylor, Ellie Grace Branick, Joanna Duncan and her husband, Rick; Great niece, Kate Duncan; Great Nephews, Sam Duncan and Jackson James, and several much loved cousins.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening, February 27, 2018, from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. The funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, February 28, 2018, also at the funeral home. Dr. Phil Sigman will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
