Officers report drug bust in Vidor

Investigators with the Orange County Special Services Division arrested a suspect on drug charges Wednesday.

In an issued statement, the Sheriff’s Office said officers were working their assigned duties in Vidor around 3:30 p.m. when they saw a Nissan traveling south on Main Street, changing lanes without signaling. The car ran the stop light at South Main and Old Highway 90, officers said.

Investigators stopped the vehicle, driven by Rhonda Kay Guidry, at a parking lot at Moreland and Old Highway 90.  A search of the vehicle was conducted and Investigators located about 11 grams of a clear crystal like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. They also found clonazepam, a controlled substance.

Guidry was arrested and transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility. She’ll be arraigned on charges of one count of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 3.
