Bob Allen Hayes

Mr. Bob Allen Hayes, Sr., 70, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 in the comfort of his home in Pearland, Texas.  Born in Beaumont, Texas, on July 11, 1947, to the late Bert Hayes, Sr., and Wilda Thibodeaux, he was a longtime resident of Port Arthur, Texas.  Mr. Hayes retired from Time Warner Cable and was a member of the Lincoln High School Class of 1965.  He was a United States Veteran and was honorably discharged from the Army in 1969.

Visitation is scheduled from 9am-11am Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church, 548 East 15th Street, Port Arthur, TX 77640. Immediately following visitation, Funeral Services will be held at the same location at 11 am.  Burial will be in Houston National Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Wilda Hayes, Sr., brother Bert Hayes, Sr., and sister Ester Lee Hayes, nephews Craig Douglas, Joe Bob Broussard, Carl Diles, Roydrick Calcote and niece Sharon Aikels Mendenhall; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Marie Calcote; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Steward (Bo).

Bob Hayes was united in holy matrimony with Maxine Calcote in 1970 and 2018.  To this union, was born four children.  Bob leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Maxine Calcote Hayes, his sons, Bob Allen Hayes, Jr. and Brannon Hayes of Houston Tx.; daughters, Paulette Giron of Port Arthur, Tx., Dr. Natalie Hayes Moore (Charles) and Stephanie Hayes of Pearland, Tx.; grandsons, Ramon Smothers (Denita) and Aiden Allen Hayes of Houston, Tx.; granddaughters, Raven Sinegal, Meagan Hayes, Michelle Hayes and Madison Hayes; brothers, Solomon Hayes (Gwen) of Washington, Tx, Larry Hayes (Kathy) of Beaumont, Tx.; sisters, Abby Aikels of Beaumont, Tx., Clara Hayes of Orange, Tx., Willie Douglas of Port Arthur, Tx., Shirley Scott (Louis) of Winnie, Tx., Emma Hayes and Fay Broussard of Port Arthur, Tx.; brothers- in-law, Roy Calcote, Sr. (Mary), Willie Calcote (Bertha), Vivien Calcote, Herbert Calcote; sisters- in-law, Elaine Walker, Betty Traveler, Ada Steward, and Jean Pollard of Port Arthur, Tx.; special nieces, Lisa Douglas and Christy Hunter and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
