Port Neches-Groves exes Andrew Landry and Chris Stroud spent the final day of the PGA Championship moving in different directions Sunday at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis.
Landry, despite hitting 12 of 14 fairways and 13 of 18 greens, had to settle for a closing 71. It dropped him 14 places into a tie for 50th at two-under-par 278. He shot rounds of 73-65-69-71.
Stroud, after posting a 76 that was the high score on Saturday, rebounded with a 66. It matched his low round of the 2017-18 season and moved him up 14 places into a tie for 65th. His 72-hole total was 281 on rounds of 69-70-76-66.
Landry will skip next week’s Wyndham Championship, which is the final event before the FedEx Cup playoffs start. Stroud is playing in the Wyndham and needs at least a top-five finish to make it into the playoffs.
