Coast Guard medevacs man from disabled vessel near Port Aransa

CORPUS CHRISTI — The Coast Guard medevaced a man from his disabled vessel near Port Aransas on Wednesday afternoon.
During a patrol flight a Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew observed a 25-foot pleasure craft with a man on board waving his arms.
The aircrew lowered a rescue swimmer to the man and learned that his vessel had been disabled for a few hours, and he was concerned that he had suffered from possible exposure.
The aircrew transported the man to Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi where he was received by awaiting emergency medical services.
