Edith’s Place will host a luncheon for the homeless and local elderly from 11-2 Saturday, co-owner Diane Guidry said this week.
The restaurant, located at 743 Procter St., Port Arthur, will serve a plate lunch with an entrée and two sides.
About 100 lunches will be prepared in advance.
“We would like to say thank you to everyone for all your love and support,” said Guidry, who owns the husband with her husband Tommy Guidry Sr. “We are extremely grateful and appreciate each and every one of you.”
Edith’s, named for Tommy Guidry Sr.’s mother, opened in May 2017 and includes many recipes and dishes his mother, a Rayne, Louisiana native, taught him.
