A lone gunman demanded undisclosed property from two women who were parked in a car at 1736 Duff early Saturday morning, Port Arthur police said. After a woman from inside the residence came out, the gunman apparently got the property he demanded, then fled north on foot, firing a shot in the air as he ran.

In an issued statement, police described the gunman only as a black male.

Police were called to the scene, which was in a residential area with single-family dwellings, at 12:59 a.m.

The incident remained under investigation
