The Nederland Heritage Festival mixer will start at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the NHF office, 1523 Boston Ave.
“Mr. Nederland” and the dedication for the annual festival book will be announced.
Refreshments will be served.
Dishman to present
‘fantasy artists’ work
The Dishman Art Museum will open its exhibition “Dream Weavers: The Art of Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo, on Jan. 25. The exhibition, which will feature the work of Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo, will close March 1.
The two will meet the public in a “gallery talk” at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 15.
Knights of Peter Claver
to host Mardi Gras dance
The Knights of Peter Claver, St. Mary Council and Court 182, will host the annual Mardi Gras Zydeco Dance at the KPC Hall, No. 182, at 515 Savannah Ave., Port Arthur, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Feb. 2.
Toe stomping music by J.J. Caillier and the Zydeo Knockouts.
Admission is $15 at the door, $12 in advance. Come as you are or Mardi Gras attired.
BYOB, set-ups available. Small ice chest permitted.
