PAPD seeks help in ID’ing robbery suspect

Port Arthur police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man they say robbed several women at gunpoint on Duff Drive last month.

The female victims had just returned from a trip to Louisiana and were parked in a private driveway in the 1700 block of Duff Drive just before 1 a.m. Dec. 29. The suspect displayed a chrome semi-automatic handgun during the robbery and fired a shot in the air, likely to scare them, according to information from the Port Arthur Police Department.

The aggravated robbery suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants with a white stripe. He was also wearing flip-flops with socks.

During the robbery he stole one of the women’s purses, which contained cash and an iPhone.

The suspect walked to a dark colored sedan and left the scene.
