Sue Stephens, age 78, of Tomball, TX and formerly of Port Neches TX, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born July 25, 1940 in Port Arthur, TX to Clarence Borel and Thelma Pierce Borel. Following graduation from Port Neches-Groves High School, she married Louis Cornelius “LC” Stephens in 1958. Eight years after LC’s passing, she moved to Tomball and thrived in her new surroundings. Surrounded by new friends, Sue was active in weekly exercise classes, daily mile walks, lunch-bunch dates, going to Astros games and watching football and baseball on TV. She was a long-time and loyal Cowboys and Astros fan, watching and cheering for them during every game. Sue was preceded in death by her mother Thelma and father Clarence Borel and her husband LC Stephens. She is survived by her four children, Louis Stephens (Mija) of Tyler TX, Lance Stephens (Andrea) of Houston TX, Deanna Stephens of Schertz TX, and Darlene Cooper (Ronny) of Houston TX; four grandchildren, Trey, Nichole, Tyler and Lucas; five sisters, Sherry Bersin of Beaumont, Phyllis Martinez of Groves TX, Kathy Dean and Brenda Erickson of Kirbyville and one brother Bracy Borel of Ashley Creek, Missouri.
