Elton James White, 63, of Houston, TX passed away at his home, due to a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. He was born on February 4, 1956 in Beaumont, TX to the late Elijah and Helen White. He was a 1975 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and a U.S. Army veteran.  Elton was a member of Carter Chapel C.M.E Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Shawana Hawkins-Thornton of Port Arthur, TX and Kenya Bell (William) of Radcliff, KY; seven grandchildren; two aunts; a close companion Jacqueline Jacobs of Houston, TX, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Procter Street, Port Arthur, TX.
