Timothy Lee Durden, 70, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Friday, April 24, 2019 at Oak Grove Nursing Facility.  A native of Glenwood, GA, he was a resident of Port Arthur for 48 years and was employed by The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Park Place Hospital, Mid Jeff Hospital and Gulf Health Care Nursing Center.  He was a member of Bibleway New Beginning Fellowship Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Durden; sister Glenda Durden; brother Daniel Durden (Tracy); aunt Effie Green; godmother, Ella Speed of all of Apalachicola, FL; his special friend/brother, Roosevelt Payne; friends, Leo Randall; sister/cousins, Joe Ann Bates and Debba Johnson (Michael) all of Port Arthur, TX; in-laws, Patricia Bryant (James), Ray Chaney (Flo), Gregory Chaney (Betty) and Charles Chaney (Barbra);  and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Bibleway New Beginning Fellowship Church, 1548 Rev. Ransom Howard Street, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Bishop Phillip Randall will officiate.  Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.
