Knife incident lands Port Arthur suspect in jail

Port Arthur detectives were investigating a Friday afternoon incident in which a woman sustained a laceration in an altercation over a relationship.
Police said they were sent to 4143 Turtle Creek Drive at 5:22 p.m. There, they found a female victim with a knife wound on her arm.
She told police a male had gone to her apartment and confronted her about a second man being there. The suspect confronted the victim, police said, while holding a knife in one hand and pushed the victim against the wall. During the altercation, the victim was cut with the knife.
Police said the victim was treated and released by Acadian EMS.
Hermionn Ratcliff III, 23, was arrested for aggravated assault with a weapon and taken to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility for booking.
Bond was set at $50,000, jail records said.
