FOOTBALL: ABC to feature LSU-Texas as Saturday night game

ABC has selected the Sept. 7 LSU at Texas game as its “Saturday Night Football” feature.
The University of Texas announced that the game is set for 6:30 p.m. on the network. It will be the Longhorns’ first ABC “Saturday Night Football” broadcast since they defeated Kansas State 31-21 in the 2013 season.
This will mark the 18th all-time meeting between the Tigers and Longhorns, the latter leading 9-7-1. Texas won the most recent meeting 35-20 in the 2002-03 Cotton Bowl.
Texas has gone 7-1-1 vs. LSU in Austin, but has not hosted the Tigers since 1954 (won 20-6).
