Lydia Louise LeBlanc, 94, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Lizette’s Loving Care Home in Nederland.

Lydia was born in Abbeville, Louisiana on August 19, 1924 to parents Louise Broussard and Manson Primeaux. She was a member of Immaculate Conception and St. Peter Catholic Church. Lydia was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Otis J. LeBlanc, her son, Louis LeBlanc, her daughter in law, Nancy LeBlanc and two brothers.

Lydia is survived by her daughter, Donna Minter and her husband, Richard “Buggar” of Bridge City, grandchildren, Ricky LeBanc and his wife, Barbara, Michelle Peltier and her husband, Bryan, Michael LeBlanc, Todd Minter and his wife, Amy, Tammy Hornsby and her husband, John. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. A 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Immaculate Conception and St. Peter Catholic Church in Groves, celebrant will be Rev. J. C. Coon. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Lizette Ellis and Staff at Lizette’s Loving Care Home and to Southeast Texas Hospice for the love and care given to Lydia.
