Clara Ann Jones, 85, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019.

Clara Ann was born December 17, 1933 in Williamsport, Indiana to Roy Lee Benson and Hallie Wesley Benson. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 40 years and graduated from Lamar University Beaumont with a bachelor’s degree in education.

Clara Ann was employed as a teacher for the Port Arthur ISD for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dr. Guy Jones and infant brother, Alois Maldon Benson.

Survivors include four daughters, Kitty Day and husband Russell of Longmont, CO, Teresa Wick of Groves, Lisa Rice and husband Jay of Mauriceville, Tamara San Miguel and husband Jerry of Fort Worth; two sisters, Rowena Brown of Alvin, IL, and Sharon Rollins of Chebanse, IL; grandchildren, Zachary Wick and wife Heather, Max and Eli Marchlewski, Jacob Rice, Gus and Tristan San Miguel; and great-grandson, Ethan Wick.
