Sweet Penelope has been with Pups in Peril since Nov. 1 and wants a forever home so badly!

We believe her to be a Mastiff/Dane mix. When she was rescued, she was so emaciated, heart worm-positive and had a broken hip.

She has since been treated for her heartworms, had an FHO surgery (thank you to everyone who donated) and is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She has no concept of her size — she has put on a good 30 plus pounds since her rescue — and likes to think of herself as a lap dog.

Although she gets along with the dogs at her foster home, we suggest that she be an only pet, as she is “picky” about her dog friends.

She is potty trained to go outside, but if it is raining, she is also trained to go on a potty pad. I’m begging you to please open up your heart and home to this young girl and send us an application! www.pupsinperil.org
