PAPD searches for armed robber of The Blue Store

Port Arthur Police are searching for a man who robbed a store on Seventh Street in broad daylight on Wednesday.

Police responded around 2:40 p.m. to The Blue Store, 2735 Seventh St. and learned that a man had entered the store with a handgun and demanded money. He ended up grabbing an undetermined amount of cash from the register before fleeing the scene.

He is described as a male with dark complexion in his 30s, thin build and between 5-feet-8-inches and 5-feett-11-inches.

He was wearing a blue shirt and light colored blue jeans, according to a press release from PAPD.

The clerk was not injured in the robbery.

PAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division is handling the case.
