Museum of the Gulf Coast director Tom Neal ponders how to present pieces from artist Douglas Jackson’s exhibition that will open at the museum, 700 Procter St., Port Arthur with a reception from 3-5 p.m. Saturday.
Among items in the exhibit are the palette where Jackson used to work while lying down and completed artwork from his 55 years of painting.
Jackson’s father created the palette using an old dresser.
The Port Arthur native was born with Cerebral Palsy and paints while using a headband stylus.
